The window is currently 12 units wide and 28 units tall. Let's adjust Xmin and Xmax so that the window is 1.5(9.4) = 14.1 units wide. We will let Xmin = -7 and Xmax = 7.1. For the window height, we use 5(6.2) = 31 units and set Ymin = -11 and Ymax = 20.

Notice how the gap has now disappeared. Because we have used functions to graph the parabola, both the upper and lower half can be traced. Also, the CALC features can be used.
