GRAPHING | Window Settings (Page 1 of 6) |
The viewing window of the TI-83/84 determines how much and what portion of the xy-plane we are able to see when graphing. Since this plane is infinitely large, we can only view a small rectangle of it at any time. The WINDOW settings control the size and location of this viewing rectangle. Let's begin with what is referred to as the standard window. The standard window is a rectangle centered at the origin, 20 units across in the x-direction and 20 units high in the y-direction, with ticks marks one unit apart on each axis. The best and quickest way to create a standard window is to use the ZOOM ZStandard command. Click here if your screen looks different than the one shown. |
