Let's graph the line x + 3y = 14. By isolating y, the equation can be written as the linear function y = -x/3 + 14/3. Enter this function as Y1, then try a standard graph.
A comprehensive graph of a linear function should show both intercepts. The x-intercept is not visible with the standard window. Since the x-intercept is 14, we must increase Xmax. Set Xmax=20 and Xscl=5. |
