SEQUENCES Sums (Page 1 of 7)

Sums of the terms of a sequence can be found in function mode if the sequence is non-recursive. Let's evaluate the sum sigma{k=3, 15, (k^2-2k-3)}. We will do this in function mode, so first make sure the calculator is set accordingly. The change is made on the MODE screen.

We will compute the sum from the Home screen. It will require a combination of the seq and sum commands, both of which are located in LIST submenus.
