It is extremely important to understand the the result is displayed but NOT SAVED! You must save each step of your work throughout the process. This can be done by storing the result back in matrix A.

If at any time you make a mistake during a step, don't save the result yet! Since matrix A (the previous step) is still in memory, you can repeat a step and correct the mistake without losing your prior work. Once the step is completed correctly, then proceed to save the result as matrix A.
