We also want to eliminate the 3 in the third position of column one. We will do this by multiplying the first row by -3, adding this to the third row, and using the result to replace row 3. We will again use the *row+ command. Notice that only row three was changed. Column one is now in row echelon form, so now proceed with column two. But first save your work! |
