POLAR COORDINATES Conversions (Page 4 of 6)

To convert from polar coordinates to rectangular coordinates, we use a similar set of commands, also found in the ANGLE menu.

Let's find the x-coordinate for the ordered pair (2, 150°). Since the angle is in degrees, make sure the calculator is in Degree mode. The command we will use is PtoRx.

 MODE key. [Degree] ENTER key.

 2nd QUIT key. CLEAR key.
 2nd ANGLE key. 7: menu selection. 2 Comma key. 150 Right parenthesis key. ENTER key.
