We used a left bound of 12, a right bound of 15, and a guess of 14. Notice the y-value, which is in scientific notation. The y-coordinate is very close to zero, but not actually zero because of round-off error. Just treat this value as if it were exactly zero.

The x-intercepts are approximately -0.935 and 13.554.
