The reciprocal key can be used to find the reciprocal of a number, which is equivalent to raising the number to a power of -1. If you want the result displayed as a fraction instead of as a decimal, use the Frac command. Let's evaluate  as a decimal, then convert the answer to a fraction.
Notice that we can just enter the Frac command without retyping the whole problem. The TI-83/84 will automatically use the previous answer. |
