The rectangular screen of the calculator is composed of pixels, which are liquid crystal points (tiny squares) that can be turned on or off. The screen on the TI-83 and TI-84 measures 95 pixels across and 63 pixels high. When you move the cursor with the arrow keys, the cursor "jumps" from one pixel to the next. Depending on the window settings, the coordinates of the center of the pixel may or may not be "friendly" numbers. For example, let's see how the pixel coordinates work with a standard window.
