In this topic we will see how to verify a trigonometric identity numerically and graphically. These methods do not prove that an equation is an identity, but can be used to support an algebraic proof or to investigate the potential for an identity. As an example, let's consider the equation . We will use the table to numerically verify that this is an identity. Enter the expression to the left of the equal sign as function Y1, and the expression to the right of the equal sign as Y2. |
