Another method of solving a trigonometric equation graphically is to isolate the trigonometric function, then define each side of the equation as individual functions Y1 and Y2. The solution to the equation will be the intersection of the graphs of these functions. Again, the results will depend upon the current mode. Let's solve the equation using this method, but work in degree mode. First make sure the calculator is in Degree mode. Isolating the sine function, we obtain the equation . Enter the left side of the equation as function Y1 and the right side as function Y2. |
