To graph the cosecant function in connected mode, turn off function Y3 and turn on function Y4 in the function editor. Then graph.

Observe that the period is 2π, there are no real zeros, vertical asymptotes occur at integer multiples of π, and the range is (-infinity, -1]U[1, infinity). Remember, the vertical line segments are artificial; although they serve to remind us of the asymptotes, they are not part of the graph.
