If the magnitude and direction angle of the vector are known, another set of conversion commands can be used to find the rectangular components of the vector. Be aware of the mode the calculator is in when specifying the direction angle. Let's find the x-component of the vector with direction angle 150° and magnitude 2. Since the angle is in degrees, make sure the calculator is in Degree mode. The PtoRx command is used, and is again found in the ANGLE menu. |
