If the direction angle is given in radians, either change the calculator to radian mode first, or leave the calculator in degree mode but attach the radian symbol to the angle measure. As an example of the second method, we will find the x-component and y-component for the vector whose magnitude is 3 and direction angle is 5π/4. The component form for this vector is approximately <-2.12, -2.12>. |
