We must modify the viewing window to see further to the right. Adjust the WINDOW settings as shown and re-graph the function. Then use CALC zero to find the x-intercept. We used a left bound of 20, a right bound of 40, and a guess of 30. The zero of the function is x = 27, so the solution set of the equation is {27}. |
